The warthog (Phacochoerus aethiopicus) is an unmistakable plains animal. It's not hard to see that they're closely related to domestic pigs and they're the most common member of the pig family in savanna habitat. As the family trots along, Mom followed by her little piglets, it's difficult to stifle a giggle at their comic antics—the clowns of the savanna! They become tame rather easily like this one, photographed at a lodge near Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
