Britain's Prince of Wales has called for the protection of rainforests. Charles is founding The Prince's Rainforests Project, which will include attempts to make conservation of the world's rainforests commercially viable for the nations where they grow.

Beached whales die in Galapagos PDF Print E-mail
Twelve pilot whales came ashore on the Galapagos Islands, and seven died, despite the efforts of rescuers who dug makeshift pools in the sand to keep them from dehydrating. The five other whales in the group returned to the ocean. Read the stories beginning March 19.
