Amazon soy port closed PDF Print E-mail
March 24, Brazilian authorities shut down a soybean shipping port on the Amazon River owned by U.S. company Cargill Inc. The company's environmental impact statement did not meet required standards. Expansion of soy cultivation is major contributor to loss of rainforest.
