AFRICA SAVANNA

With savanna we experience the essence of Africa, vast plains of waving golden grass as far as the eye can see, framed by purple thunderclouds, crowned by streaming rays of light. Hidden within this magnificence is an endless array of nature and its inevitable play of life and death, roles of predator and prey, carnivore and herbivore. Who from their earliest years is not drawn compulsively to the savanna—the theater upon whose stage these dramas are played out? The savanna is embedded in our genetic memory—the habitat from which humans first arose; the original Garden of Eden.
